Every time the content team chats with one of TJC Group’s superstars, the team remains in awe of their achievement, journey, and success. This month, the team spoke to the “Team Man” of our ILM team, Anurag Shrivastava. Read his story here!

Laying solid foundations ever since the beginning

India is a vast country with numerous states that boast of cultural heritage and brave history. Madhya Pradesh is one state that reflects the above statement, and in that state lies the small but beautiful town of Guna, where Anurag Shrivastava belongs from. Ever since he started his corporate journey, it has been nothing but inspirational. He has always shown proactiveness towards his work, standing by his teammates through thick and thin. Not just that, Anurag is the heart of all fun activities and dinner parties organised within TJC Group. Here’s an excerpt from the fantastic chat we had with him –

Question 1: Can you share a little about yourself?

Sure! I’m from Guna, a small town in Madhya Pradesh. I completed my primary schooling in Guna and then moved to Indore to pursue my higher studies. In Indore, I did my Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from the renowned Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT).

Question 2: Can you share about your professional journey?

I started my corporate journey in 2014 with Cognizant, for which I moved to Pune and then Bangalore. After that, I joined Accenture in Pune, followed by ThyssenKrupp in Thane, Maharashtra. Interestingly, I also got the opportunity to work for a short term in Germany with Thyssenkrupp, and now I am at TJC Group from May 2021. Overall, I have 10+ years of experience in SAP Archiving and ILM.

Question 3: Can you explain your role at TJC Group?

I am a senior SAP Archiving/ILM consultant working on multiple projects. My role is to take care of the technical configurations and discuss them with the customer when required. I also work with the Archiving BPO team and help them in case of any issues.

Question 4: Have you worked on any remarkable project? How was the experience?

Hahaha, everyone at TJC Group has already heard about it a lot. For our readers, I am talking about a very challenging project of system decommissioning for a well-known financial institution in Canada. I am glad that my team and I completed that project successfully. As a matter of fact, we received a lot of appreciation for the project!

Question 5: What are the challenges that you face in your work or encountered during the project?

Facing challenges is a natural part of any work or project, and I like challenges. I think the main issue now is the ever-changing technology, and we must keep ourselves updated. Apart from this, balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines can be tricky sometimes. Having said that, sometimes aligning with the expectations of various stakeholders can be challenging.

Question 6: A few years down the line, where do you see yourself at TJC Group?

A few years down the line, I envision myself at TJC Group in a role where I’ve grown both professionally and personally. I wish to take on more complex and impactful projects where I can use my abilities to manage larger scopes. I would love to take a managerial position in the future, where I can guide and mentor newer team members.

Question 7: A few words about TJC Group?

Well, this is one of the best organisations I have worked for. I love the work culture, where I have the freedom to express myself even in front of anyone in the company. I don’t think we get this level of flexibility in any other organisation. Here, I get the opportunity to learn new technologies, which helps boost my professional career. I feel that I have a good work-life balance where I can fulfil my professional and personal responsibilities.

Question 8: Can you tell us a bit about your life outside of TJC Group?

Outside of work, I’m passionate about travelling, listening to music, and spending time with my loved ones. I, at least, go out of town once in a month with family and friends to explore new places. In the last year, I have visited Kashmir, Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh), Delhi, Lucknow, and many places near my hometown. I also love visiting temples, and I dedicate my time to them.

Apart from that, I am a foodie and love to cook. I can go anywhere for good food… hahaha. I also like to sing and play guitar. I don’t really get too much time for it, but I try to do it when I have some free time.

Question 9: What do you like to do in your free time? – like what you do on weekends?

I think my answer remains the same as above. 😀

Question 10: Haha, fair enough! So, Anurag… do you have some final words for our readers?

The journey at TJC Group has been great so far, and I hope it will be much more exciting in the future. Always Remember to believe in yourself and choose to be optimistic. Everything gets better, for sure!
