A rising interest in “RISE with SAP” offering.
In the recent months, there has been an increased interest in “Rise with SAP” solutions. Robert Holland, Vice President and Research Director at SAP Insider, wrote the following lines in SAP Insider benchmark report “RISE with SAP”:
“RISE with SAP is not a product, but an offering that initially combined SAP’s newly acquired business process intelligence solution with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, technical services to smooth the transition process, cloud infrastructure, and consumption credits for the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) in a single contract.
SAP describes RISE with SAP as a holistic Business Transformation-as-a-Service (BTaaS) offering that goes beyond Infrastructure-as-a-Service or Software-as-a-Service to provide all the components needed to implement its intelligent enterprise in one bundle.”
Surprisingly, customers are slowly consuming credits for the SAP BTP platform (formerly SAP Cloud Platform). A great usage of such credit is for accessing data from your legacy systems (usually SAP ECC or CRM). The SAP certified solution ELSA by TJC Group can help you do just this: consume the credits.
How can ELSA help out to use SAP BTP credits?
ELSA is an SAP BTP certified cloud platform solution with special features available to SAP legacy systems. It allows users to access information from any legacy application, or from SAP S/4 HANA or other current ERP systems. When setting up ELSA access, it is necessary to buy runtime. You can use your own Cloud Foundry platform, or SAP Cloud platform (SAP BTP) if you use ELSA BTP services.
When buying a bundle of SAP products with RISE with SAP, some SAP BTP credits are included. However, if you are not using this credits, what is the point of making that investment? Therefore, when paying for something, you’d better make good use of what has been acquired, wouldn’t you?
Moving your legacy system to SAP S/4HANA
Let’s discuss how TJC can help to retire legacy data that you do not want to migrate to S/4HANA but must retain for legal and audit reasons or day to day access. It is possible to re-access legacy data at any time by using ELSA, a single source of truth.
